Kristin Slape - Kristin has won several local/national handicapping
contests and one in particular, which was a national contest, she picked 7
winners out of 10 races, the three remaining races she placed.

KRISTIN'S WAGERING SUGGESTIONS
HOW TO USE PICKS: Picks contained in my reports are set up in W/P/S
format. For races offering Trifecta wagers, three selections are given, you may
box the selections or play them any way you want to. On races offering
Superfecta wagering, 4 selections are given, again you may box, play straight
or in any manner you wish. I always try and put contenders in the exact order I
think they will finish, however, no one, no matter who they are, can give the
exact finish on every single race. Keep in mind that anything can happen during
a race and the selections are there to aid you in your wagering by providing
you with information to make your educated guess, no matter what anyone may
tell you, no one has a crystal ball, horse racing is a matter of luck combined
with educated guessing. The key is "educated", and when I give you these picks
they are based on a variety of things: pace/speed/class/fitness/fractional
calculations coupled with angles: trainer/jockey stats, horses exiting key
races, workouts, post position information and other information that the
handicapper may have knowledge of from playing that particular track so often.
This information gives you an edge over players that do not have access to the
information. Keep in mind that the picks provided, for example in a trifecta,
contain 3 top selections and you can box those if you choose, but most players
know that many times there are more than 1 horse that could win a race, or
finish 2nd and especially 3rd, so you may want to add other higher value horses
to those spots, that is where Exit Key Race Horses could come in handy and
occasionally I will give Gimmick Booster selections so you can pad that
trifecta or superfecta and hope for the best value to come through. Keep in
mind that winners can come out of the top two picks, but occasionally out of
the third or fourth pick and at good prices. In the picks I will occasionally
add wagering strategies you can use in the event you need some help. They are
only used as a guide as everyone has their own bankroll and wagering limits.
DD/Pick 3/Pick 4/Pick 6 Wagers: Use the number 1 picks on each race to
set up these wagers. Depending on your bankroll/funding you may want to have
more than one pick per leg, then you may use the others selections and even the
EXIT KEY RACE horses or GIMMICK BOOSTERS when given and according to your
funds.
Handicapper Comments: Numbers in ( ) after the running style (early
runner-stalker-presser-closer) indicate the early speed ability of the horse,
using a scale of 0 (lowest) - 8 (highest). First time starters will not have a
running style or speed indicator. All firsters are listed as an N/A by their
program # only with no speed rating after it. If a horse has had at least one
race but no running style is yet discernable, they will be listed under the N/A
category but will still have a speed rating listed. Also, if I indicate a
"pass" on the race, this means I will not be putting my money on it because it
is what I consider a "crap shoot". I will still give you information on the
horses I think could contend in the event you decide to make a wager on the
race. A percentage given within a ( ) indicates the win percentage of that
specific angle: e.g. drops in class (20%) indicates the trainer wins at a 20%
rate with class drops. Note that these are stats for the MEET unless otherwise
indicated.

Specialist HORSES IN FOR A TAG: lists the horses that are dropping into MC
company from MDN company. Sometimes this can be very significant.
ADDED FEATURES: EXITS A KEY RACE: indicates horses that are exiting a
race where two or more horses from that race have already come back to win
their next start. Significant angle and can be a good long shot play in many
cases or a gimmick padder for extra value.
GIMMICK BOOSTERS: Horses that I think could factor in at good prices
that are not contained in the top pick. These are given when I feel a longer
odds horse has a chance to either pose an upset or get into the TRI or SUPER at
good odds to pad your gimmicks. Will be listed as UPSET SPECIAL when I think
this horse could win at long odds.
